Technical help
The process begins when one person creates a discipleship group or house church, invites others to join, and follows the simple meeting agendas. As the members’ lives are changed, they create more groups and churches whose members do the same. Eventually, the rate of making disciples becomes exponential.
A new Jesus Disciple network can be applied for and created for pastors of churches and leaders of other ministries and organizations. By creating a new network, the network leader can use the Jesus Disciple system both to lead their network and to track the increase of their network’s disciples, groups, and house churches. (The original Jesus Disciple network, the Jesus Way Network, is led by the team that developed Jesus Disciple.)
The eight territories of Jesus Disciple offer the most impactful and life-changing experience. Each territory has five Group Meeting Agendas as well as a weekly checklist of activities to be completed in between meetings. The weekly checklists include daily Bible reading, prayer, and Scripture meditation, listening to two teachings weekly, along with disciple-making assignments.
A Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a simple approach to studying the Bible. Someone will read the assigned passage aloud. Then someone else will attempt to restate (not teach) what the passage said, and the group can help. Then the group discusses a few questions about the passage. Though DBSs are a great place to start, they do not offer the life change of the Territories.
Jesus Disciple house churches can choose to study any of the growing number of Bible studies available on the Jesus Disciple system. However, all house churches should first walk through the “New Church Study.” This introductory Bible study will lay a foundation for New Testament house churches, and share the unique vision of their network. House churches can also choose to walk through one or more Discipleship Territories together.
